calm before the storm . . .

My girls returned to school this week. Ella began preschool for the first time. It is a strange feeling to contemplate having those few hours two times a week to myself. Sort of a guilty feeling, surprisingly enough. I can see myself filling that time quickly with obligations that are kid-related, like additional volunteering at my children's schools or my church, but am getting this weird vibe that maybe I should grab a little bit of it for myself. For so long, we have been running, running, running, would it hurt for me to have a little bit of "off-duty" time? I don't know. Perhaps leaving the door open during this calm before the storm is the right answer. There is nothing wrong with grabbing coffee with friends. There is nothing wrong with a little sanity break at the computer. Hmm. Hi, I'm Linda and I am learning how to be comfortable with seeing blank spots in my calendar . . . ;)

  1. Hi, I'm stopping by from SITS to show some comment love. There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking a bit of time for you. You NEED it! It will help you to be an even better mom!

Hope the rest of your week is amazing!

    Many blessings,

    Teresa <><

  2. My Dr. told me after i had my son that I needed to make sure I had ME time. To make sure I was happy, because when i'm happy, then my son is happy. We all are happy.

So go have that cup of coffee, take an hour long bath with a good book. You have your time and do whatever it is that you do, to make you happy!!

  3. I vote grab a little time for yourself and enjoy it (guilt free). Everybody needs a break now and then.

    Welcome to SITS!

  4. TOTALLY grab some mommy time! you deserve it after all the hard work you do. no guilt allowed!

  5. Every woman needs ME time. Take it, and have fun.

  6. Hold on to your hat my dear, you'll be where I am in the blink of an eye :)

oh so, well, appreciated! ;) loving those comments, friends!
